More urban greenery for Flensburg

This year, the SBV is once again providing 15,000 euros for its tree planting campaign, which is being implemented by the TBZ. Four hornbeams will be planted on a bend in a green area near the "Am Sophienhof" road, and three English oaks and three field maples will be planted along the footpath. The donation not only covers the purchase of the trees, but also the planting with constant watering and maintenance in the following years.

During the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony, SBV board member Michael Ebsen and TBZ managing director Heiko Ewen pointed out that the tree plantations improve the city's microclimate and also create important refuges for many species.
