Living together in (camera) focus

Call for entries for the photo competition

Do you have a particularly committed neighbour? Is there a playground in your neighbourhood that is a popular meeting place for parents and children alike? Does your neighbourhood meeting place offer something that you are a regular at? Take your camera with you and show other people what makes your neighbourhood lovable and worth living in, and where coexistence between generations and cultures is particularly successful!

Take part ...

- After you have uploaded your picture to the website www.du-bist-die-stadt.de/fotowettbewerb, it can collect hearts in the "public voting".

- Anyone aged 18 and over can take part. Only professional photographers and employees of the Federal Environment Ministry are excluded.

- The closing date for entries is 31 October.

- In November, all submitted pictures will also be judged by a jury of experts.

- The winners of the public and jury assessments will be announced in December.

... and win

- The winner of the expert jury assessment will win a one-day workshop with photographer Florian Büttner in Berlin. Travelling expenses with Deutsche Bahn and an overnight stay in a hotel are included.

- The photos of the five best participants as judged by the expert jury will be exhibited in the Visitor Centre of the Federal Ministry for the Environment. The participants will also receive a large-format print of their motif on a photo plate for their wall at home.

- The photographers of the five motifs that collected the most hearts in the public voting can expand their knowledge at a one-day photo workshop in Berlin-Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg. Their travel expenses with Deutsche Bahn and an overnight stay in a hotel are also included.

All winners will also be presented in a gallery on the campaign website.
