"The purchase of the building complements our portfolio in a meaningful way, as the neighbouring building with the Sandberg home for the elderly is already jointly owned by SBV and FAB," said SBV board member Michael Ebsen. And FAB board member Michael Kohnagel continued: "Not only the long-standing partnership between FAB and SBV has proven its worth, but also the trusting cooperation with AWO. The purchase and Renting division were therefore logical next steps."

Michael Selck, Managing Director of AWO Schleswig-Holstein, comments on the change of ownership: "Our strength lies in accompanying and supporting people in need of care. The change of ownership makes sense for us, as it allows everyone involved to concentrate on their core competences. The AWO's care services will not change as a result. In our home for the elderly, we enable private living characterised by self-determination, participation and help for self-help until the end of life and take into account the individual needs of older people. Tenants can continue to rely on familiar quality and local contacts."
