Festive procession through Fruerlund

Many hundreds of participants took part as the procession of lantern and torch bearers wound its way through Fruerlund. The destination of the atmospheric SBV lantern run on Friday, 15 November 2024, was the Alsterbogen youth centre, where delicious sausages, hot chocolate and punch were served. The SBV organised the lantern run and was supported by the parish of Fruerlund, the Mürwik/Fruerlund police station, the Jürgensby volunteer fire brigade and the youth fire brigade.

One of the floats accompanying the parade was particularly eye-catching. A banner there read: "Thank you, Frank". This refers to Frank Raguse from SBV Social Management, who has organised the lantern walk for many years and will be taking his well-deserved retirement at the end of the year.
