As part of one of Flensburg's largest construction projects, SBV has modernised old houses and flats in the Fruerlund district, created new living space and space for communal areas and redesigned the outdoor facilities.
We also want to bring the motto - "Living for generations" - to life and make the neighbourhood a home for people of all ages.
Neighbourhood management is an important cornerstone of this.
Neighbourhood Management Fruerlund, that is first and foremost Neighbourhood Manager Frank Raguse. The long-standing SBV social worker is the point of contact for all local residents - regardless of whether they are members of SBV. Anyone who lives in Fruerlund has probably seen him before. Frank Raguse doesn't just sit in his office on the first floor of the 360° community centre. Whether at neighbourhood festivals, on his bike or on foot as he makes his way through the district - Frank Raguse is always "on the air" and helps wherever he is needed. With his commitment, he wants to promote neighbourly, intergenerational togetherness. He works closely with the staff at the 360° community centre and provides information about events there.
Frank Raguse: "I'm always happy when I walk through my neighbourhood and see people standing on several balconies having a quick chat. You have to spend that much time. Fruerlund is a lovely place to live. If everyone pitches in and neighbours help each other, we can work together to ensure that it stays that way."
As a social worker at SBV, Frank Raguse also has an open ear for all worries and problems: whether it's because there's not enough money for the rent, the daughter isn't getting on at school or because the flat needs to be remodelled to make it accessible.
Whether it's a clown who brings smiles to the faces at the children's camp or a musical duo that sets the tone at a celebration for long-standing members: When it comes to putting together the right programme at SBV events and tenant parties, event and social manager Miriam Kohlsdorf is the right person to contact.
She also develops social projects and offers for all SBV members and tenants and expands the co-operative's contacts with social institutions in the city of Flensburg.
